I called BSN Hotline this morning asking about the problem of their ATM cards recently. I was explained by BSN that all of us (the users) must re-activate the PLUS system for our ATM cards. So that is why all us us could not use our cards since they are re-upgrading the system. So, all the BSN ATM cards for international usage must have their PLUS service re-activated before can be used in any ATM around the world.
You have 2 options to activate your BSN ATM card.
OPTION 1: Use your card in any BSN ATM throughout Malaysia, activate via ATM (which is impossible for us since we are here)
OPTION 2 is the only option for us: Download the application form from here http://www.bsn.com.my/kad/pdf/bvisa.pdf
Fill up the form and email the completed form to servicemanager@bsn.com.my attached together with
1. ONE Copy of your BSN MATRIX ATM Card (front and back)
2. ONE Copy of the 1st page (where your details, and signature) of your saving account book, I asked about, if we don't have it here, then they said it is OK.
3. ONE Copy of your passport, I think it is better if you give the copy of your IC too.
The process will take 3-4 days to be completed, once our application is received.
For OPTION 2, we may ask our parents in Malaysia to do it for us, since in the application form the is column for representative, they may send the form to any BSN branch, but maybe the application process might take longer than e-mailing it straight to the service manager.

as explained by BSN officer,
but if still not working then you may call the hotline number +603-21425258 and submit your complaint,
or maybe can ask your parents to activate it on behalf of you, as the representative details column is there in the application form..
just do follow up frequently, hopefully this problem can be settled as soon as possible

ReplyDeletei did fill up the form and sent it to BSN branch near my housing area.But they said i have to apply for a new card and asked to fill up different form which is in Bahasa Melayu..In that form,i have to get signature from university..Now the university is telling they cant give signature since the form is in Malay Language..currently i am studying in Ukraine..i could not use my card more than two months..and i really dont know what to do now..i have money in account,,please help me..
