Deepa-Raya Concert 2009

Deepa-Raya this year comes together once more,

Bringing together cultural fusion and traditional folkore,

Let's celebrate with colorful dances and catchy songs galore,

Come be a part of it and experience it like never before!

People say two (and more) heads are better than one,

Working together ensures benefit in the long run,

So grab your friends and get performances done,

Entertain the crowd and join in the fun!

It really does not matter if you have much talent or not,

Because what matters the most is the sincere heart and thought,

Although in reality, nobody sounds like a frog or moves like a robot,

Bear in mind that you need to be at least audience-friendly to deserve a stage slot.

Butterflies-in-the-stomach is a physiological on-stage reaction,

Seasoned performers and newbies alike dread this inevitable tension,

Just relax and stay calm when you swing into action,

As on stage apprehension definitely melts into self-satisfaction.

If you really don’t have what it takes to be on stage,

Don’t worry - you can still get fame without breaking your rib-cage,

What are celebrations without deco and props, food and beverage –

Acknowledgment and praise from everyone will be your rightful wage.

All the hard work and the effort should be appreciated well,

By attending the show, with all due respect to every monsieur and mademoiselle,

Come and support your friends with applause and an occasional yell,

Then end the night with mass photo sessions before we all bid farewell!
