The annual Malaysian Cultural Night concert (formerly known as Deeparaya - Better Late Than Never) is again postponed to 19th December 2009 - due to inevitable repairs done in our Pharmacorpus Hall.
Initially, the FDO director of the Pharmacorpus did inform us on 24th Nov that the maintenance company has scheduled repair works that will commence on 30th November. Meanwhile, the committee tried to negotiate with the Administration of International Relations and the Rector to postpone the repairs after the 5th Dec. However, the repair work has started yesterday (26th Nov), without any prior notice given to the university. (Do note that the Pharmacorpus administration is a separate body from the University administration)
According to the FDO director, the repairs are expected be completed by 12th December - but to be on the safe side, she offered us a slot on the 19th instead. We apologize for all the inconvenience caused and the boring wait till the concert - and we do hope that all of you will still be looking forward to this annual event.
To all performers, do continue your practices as usual - get into your tip top form for the upcoming concert.
Tickets priced at 100 roubles will be out on sale soon, and posters will be put up as well.
