FUTURE DOCTORS™: Continuous Medical Education

Future Doctors^© is a continuous learning initiative of the Kursk Malaysian Medical Students Association (KMSA) having the following objectives:

• To instill a culture of continuous learning among students.


• To provide an avenue for students to hone their skills in giving presentations.


• To nurture critical thinking skills and to improve the level of English proficiency among students.


• As a venue to discuss various medical related topics.


• As a constant reinforcement and revision of the knowledge learnt.


• As one of the ways to improve the general competency of medical graduates of our university.

How is it carried out?

It is a weekly 2-hour session where students take turns to deliver their presentations. Students are free to choose any medical-related topics of their choice. Each session consists of 3 speakers. A maximum of 20 minutes is allocated for each speaker. At the end of each presentation, the presenter will entertain questions from the floor.

Who can join?

Medical students of Kursk State Medical University who are interested are welcomed to join us. Open to other nationalities as well.

We have had trial sessions in hostels to test the feasibility of this program. We are proud to say that the program has been well received by students. Examples of topics that have been presented.
